5G Private Network at ITP Prizren
A 5G Standalone private network covering the whole Innovation and Training Park (ITP) Prizren. A project of MDAP’s Department of ICT, hosted and managed by KREN.
The project brings a 5G Standalone (SA) non-public network to the entire ITP Prizren campus, indoors and outdoors. It is a project of the Department of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) at the Ministry of Digitalization and Public Administration (MDAP), and the network is hosted and managed by KREN.
The network includes 5G radio access across the campus buildings and outdoor areas, an on-premises 5G SA core and a local edge computing data center, so data is processed close to the users with very low latency.
It is a real environment for training, research and innovation: students, researchers and companies can build and test 5G and IoT applications such as smart buildings, AR and VR, high quality media, smart parking and smart street lighting.
